The Butterfly Bus Project

The Butterfly Bus Project is a fundraising effort to purchase a used school bus and transform it into a fully equipped mobile sensory bus that will serve children and families throughout Hampton Roads and beyond. The Butterfly Bus Project will provide a safe, calming, and inclusive sensory space for children attending community events, school programs, summer camps, and activities throughout the year.

The goal is to ensure that every child feels welcomed, supported, and included, no matter where they are. By bringing sensory-friendly resources directly into the community, we can help families participate more comfortably in experiences that might otherwise feel overwhelming. The Butterfly Bus will create opportunities for connection, inclusion, and joy for children of all abilities.
